The services will produce a wide range of testing options, long-term storage of representative cores, and disciplinary and interdisciplinary dissemination of the results gained.

The aim of the methodology used by C-EXTT is to enhance efficiency by reducing the cost and time associated with borehole testing, as well as offering a more environmentally friendly option that requires less heavy machinery on site.

Construction

The Centre for Extraterrestrial and Terrestrial Testing will offer interdisciplinary testing of borehole cores for ground investigations in the construction industry. This service will be offered to buildings and infrastructure site investigations, in both rural and urban areas.

The Centre for Extraterrestrial and Terrestrial Testing will offer prospecting for mining industry as one of the core services provided. The service will be offered both on land and sea.

Prospecting in-situ and laboratory

Full geological analysis

Long-term storage of representative cores

Space

The Centre for Extraterrestrial and Terrestrial Testing will offer interdisciplinary testing of borehole cores for ground investigations in space for mining and geology. This service will be offered to both industry and research.

The services offered include but are not limited to:

Imaging and background analysis of site

Rover sampling of specified areas

Sample return to earth

Analysis of core in a WHO level 4 laboratory

Long term storage of material
